One question: What events are firing these scripts?
Going to take a shot at guessing. If the first script is fired from the Actions Taken event of a conversation option, then it's probably setting the variable on the PC speaker with OBJECT_SELF, or at least the owner of the conversation. Should be alright there. If the second event is fired from an item's Unique Power property activation, then OBJECT_SELF is very likely the wand and not the PC. If you're calling the variable from the wand, and it hasn't been set on the wand, it will always return 0. So this is why your system would work for strength but nothing else: www.nwnlexicon.com/compiled/constant.ability.htmlwww.nwnlexicon.com/compiled/constant.ip_const_ability.htmlNotice that constants ABILITY_STRENGTH and IP_CONST_ABILITY_STR also have a value of 0. Hope this helps, and good luck fixing it.

Alright, though I still get the feeling it's calling the variables from the wrong object. When you try working with other attributes, you said it starts going a little faulty. What exactly happens?

Lol, the most I've ever messed with item properties was when I modified the Magic Weapon spell, but that's it. Though I definitely understand how it helps to just have a place to lay down what you're working on and look at it from different angles while you talk about it.

It's a good feeling isn't it? Congrats on getting it done.
