Essentially a reminder to Zun - regarding zombies keeping aggro and targeting through doors and walls. You mentioned havingt he zoms make a check when they hit a closed door to return to the normal zom zomness..
this is to prevent permanant aggro in an area, though your character is obviously in a safe position to not warrent the aggro

I'd actually put in a Line of Sight check through OnCombatRoundEnd. Check for several rounds, say 5 rounds (30seconds). If the zombie can't see the player for all 5 rounds, ClearAllActions will cause him to give up.
Additionally, in the OnPerception event, if the target is spotted then we need to reset the 5 round count. This will allow the AI to cover perception not just at the end of every round, but during every round.
-Edit- 5 rounds might be enough for zombies to cross half of a small area, like the underground city. If we use this method, we'll want to test out different durations for the perception check. 2 should be closer to fair. 1 would definitely do the job, though it could make luring around corners more difficult, causing the opposite problem.
